Teamleader Sander Jonen took the first win with his team

SLUISKIL - The house party in the Sluiskil billiard room started with an excellent Glenn Hoffman win, followed by a fascinating draw of Berry Dallinga, who played a 45-45 against Jean Paul de Bruijn, but was eventually won by the champion. The little brother, Verbrugge/Hyundai, which promoted to the highest league last year, actually could not hurt the champions of Dallinga, apart from that one match: Berry Dallinga vs Jean Paul de Bruijn.

The hotelier finished the game against the Dutch champion, the figurehead in this region in the 44th inning (45-41). That seemed to be enough for the win, but De Bruijn scored four times in the equalizer.

The almost-sensation nevertheless gave Berry Dallinga a wonderful feeling. ,,I've played a few times against Jean Paul on the small table, but always lost without any chance. This was the first time we met at the match table and I was very close.''

Did he feel a lot of tension against the Dutch champion? Not too much sleep sleep maybe? Those were the questions after the match.  Berry answered: ,,I certainly slept well, but a little short, because I worked until five tonight and woke up at nine. But I really didn’t feel nervous.’’

Dallinga-Frans Bevers still won the match with a big margin (7-1) , because Glenn Hoffman won the first match vs Patrick Vasseur with ease (45-20 in 25) and the leaders of the team made the difference in quality after the break.

Frédéric Caudron led the match against Bart Ceulemans 33-6 in 13 (12 run), Peter De Backer made the gap in his duel with Therese Klompenhouwer after fifteen innings (26-11).

De Backer continued like an express train in the second part, Klompenhouwer could not score anymore. The Belgian won 50-16 in 21 innings. Caudron also finished in 21 innings against ’little Ceulemans’, who came a bit closer with a run of eight: 50-21.

Biljartcafé Jorissen maintained its unbeaten position at the top of the ranks with a 8-0 victory over a the poor playing Aardexpress. Jean van Erp was the best man for the home team with a 50-36 against Arie Weijenburg in 27. Ceulemans, Jorissen and Van Daalen grabbed the maximum win.

STZ lost one precious point in the Brabant derby against Van Wanrooij, because Peter Ceulemans lost to Frank Martens (50-39 in 37) and Raymon Groot could not shine against Ad Broeders (45-18 in 32). Roland Forthomme recovered from his bad start last week with a great match against Kurt Ceulemans, whom he left far behind, including a fifteen run: 50-16 in 22.

Partycentrum Osdorp took its first points in the away match against De Distel. The level was very high in this encounter: Eddy Merckx was the best man with a 50-45 in 22 against Gerwin Valentijn. Dick Jaspers defeated Jef Philipoom 50-39 in 27.

Adrie Demming, substitute in the team of De Distel, was the only winner for his team: he defeated Dick Uum 45-20 in 27.

A1 Biljarts took revenge for its first loss in the derby against Holland Mineraal. The Apeldoorn team won the away match 5-3 . The crucial matches, between Jelle Pijl and Henk Blauwblomme on one table and Stefan Spilleman and Addie Wienk on the other, were decisive.

Spilleman was 41-30 ahead near the end, but could only level the match, when Wienk had finished with five and three.
Stefan Galla made a strong impression against Martien van der Spoel. The German started really well, his opponent fought back to 36-33 in 22 after runs of 13 and 5, but eventually Galla finished the job in 26 innings.

The final score was achieved in the match between Anno de Kleine and Raimond Burgman. Burgman started much better than his opponent (11-25 in 12) and set the pace for an easy win: 50-38 in 40 innings.
