Therese Klompenhouwer remains UMB player for the time being

NIJKERK - Therese Klompenhouwer does not respond to the offer of the Korean billiard organization PBA to play in a new announced league. The Dutch world champion in three cushion was allowed to participate in the PBA tournaments with wildcards, but she refused. "It will not bring me more than what I have now," is her comment. The best lady billiard player in the world had already indicated that she is not opting for a Korean adventure because she wants to win more titles in UMB, CEB and national championships.

''There has been talk about ladies tournaments for the PBA, but that could only be next year. That's a different story. I am open to that proposal, I will see what I do when they start.''

Therese was happy with Mr. Farouk Barki, the UMB president's reaction. ''He assured me that I am very important for the UMB, because I am a good promotion for our sport. It's nice to hear that what I do is appreciated.''
