Three groups for the European classic rounds

The Etikon team after its last win in the European final

BOCHUM/DOETINCHEM/PRAGUE - The European federation of billiards (CEB) has announced the draw for the qualification rounds for the European championship teams in the classic games. The three groups of five will be played in Bochum (Germany), Doetinchem (the Netherlands) and Prague (Czech). The fivefold European champion Etikon/AEJ is seeded automatically for the final rounds.

The preliminaries are played on 14 and 15 March, the final round is from 8 to 10 May in De Hazelaar in Rosmalen (Netherlands), Etikon's new home.

The groups for the preliminary rounds are:

Group A in Bochum (Germany):
1 Bochum: Blondeel, Havlik, Nockemann, Bergen, Van Etten
2 Oissel (France): Petit, Devogelaere, Kahofer, Vendeitelli, Colle, Martory
3 Vitkov Praag B (Czech): Baca, Ziogas, Kozak, Hosek
4 Horna (Netherlands): Bot, Kenter, Heida.

Group B in Doetinchem (Netherlands):
1 De Veemarkt/A1 Biljarts (Netherlanddds): Swertz, Van Silfhout, Van Geel, Lässig
2 Sueca (Spain): Cuenca, Garriga, Mata, Tomero, Egea
3 Andernos (France): De Backer, Gerassimopoulos, Baudoin, Arnaud, Connesson, Picart
4 Hilden (Germany): Wildförster, Riedl, Rütten, Künstler, Grossjung

Group C (Prague):
1 Vitkov A (Czech): Faus, Leppens, Zenkner, Baca (Miroslav), Truska
2 Chartres (France): Gretillat, Gerimont, Justice, Formont, Girard, Pariot
3 Coral Colon (Spain): Espinasa, Gasso, Barrientos, Gonzalez, Castrillo, Mas, Moya, Navarro, Torrisco
4 KBV/BNV (Danmark): Mikkelsen, Nielsen, Henriksen, Pietrazek.

Three group winners and two second best advance for the final rounds with Etikon.
