Martin Horn had another great performance beating Eddy Leppens.

PARIS - Torbjörn Blomdahl, Martin Horn, Pierre Soumagne and Thierry Amar have qualified last evening with the team of Laxou for the finals of the French championship in Division 1. The team defeated in Paris the team of Courbevoie 6-2. Blomdahl was superior in his match with Dani Sánchez, Horn defeated Eddy Leppens with a big score and Pierre Soumagne secured the victory beating Jean Jacques Boudin.

The Spanish reigning world champion Sánchez and the runner-up Eddy Leppens were left with empty hands by the leaders in Group 1. Blomdahl, who even though had defeated Sánchez in the first match in Laxou (50-46), now gave his opponent not any chance (50-37 in 24). And Horn, who's playing in France as strong as he does in all the other leagues, left Leppens far behind (50-31 in 21).

The two frontman of Laxou had to repare the tie which was on the scoreboard during the break. Jerôme Barbeillon had played an excellent match against Thierry Amar (50-18 in 22) and was the only winner for Courbevoie. Pierre Soumagne took the win against Boudin 50-41.

Laxou now has eight points in five matches and is definitely qualified for the final round. Courbevoie and Clichy competes for the second place.
