Torbjörn Blomdahl best man in double weekend

RAVENSBURG - The team championship in the German bundesliga seems to turn out into a battle between Ravensburger (with the Turks Tasdemir and Coklu) and Bergisch Gladbach (with Blomdahl and Horn). BCC Witten, the title holder, is further behind after two defeats this weekend: against Ravensburger, the frontrunner, and the number last in the ranking, Munich.
BCC Witten played without Eddy Leppens, who took the Belgian title this weekend.

Torbjörn Blomdahl was the best player over two rounds with a win against Stefan Galla in twelve innings (40-16). The other Galla brother, Markus, lost in that encounter between GT Buer and Bergisch to Martin Horn 40-26 in 20 innings. Glenn Hoffman, who lost his match on Saturday, defeated Stefan Hetzel one day later 40-29 in 24.

BC Ravensburger maintained its status on top of the rankings, two points ahead of Bergisch. The leader gathered fout matchpoints, oonSaturday 5-3 and Sunday 6-2 against BCC Witten and Velbert.
The Turkish tandem took the maximum points. Tayfun Tasdemir defeated Jacob Haaeck Sörensen (40-32 in 37) and Henk Habraken (40-34 in 23), Murat Naci Coklu beat Ronny Lindemann in a final rush (40-37 in 30) and won easily against Torsten Anders (40-23 in 19).

Bergisch also played with Blomdahl and Horn as its main players on Sunday. The Swede beat Christian Rudolph in the duel with Bottroper 40-23 at 21. Martin Horn was never in trouble against Dave van Geel and won that match 40-17 in 20.

GT Buer won the fight for a top five ranking against BC Elversberg 6-2 thanks to Markus Galla, Stefan Hetzel and Uwe Kerls. Jérémy Bury was the only winner for Elversberg: 40-35 in 30 against Stefan Galla.

GT Buer lost on Sunday to Bergisch, BC Elversberg played a draw against Bottrop. Christian Rudolph won the match on the main table against Jérémy Bury 40-31 in 26.
