ANTALYA - The reigning European champion Therese Klompenhouwer leads the rankings after the pre-rounds at the European Championship three-cushion that is played in Antalya these days. The Dutch lady leads the total field with the maximum score, 0,961 on average and a high run of 5. Sixteen ladies qualified for the next and first knock-out round. The Turkish home players and the Dutch ladies are with four in the last sixteen. They play at 15.00 (Turkish time) at eight tables for eight places in the quarterfinals.
Therese Klompenhouwer shows up for her first match in the knock-out against Turkish Arzu Gök, Karina Jetten, the number two on the ranking, against Austrian Helga Mitterböck.
