Today you can discover the new version of the Kozoom.com website. As you may have noticed, in addition to being multilingual and able to provide information for several sports, the Kozoom.com portal now comprises two distinct sites: the magazine Kozoom Mag and the online store Kozoom Store.
The magnitude of work needed to build this unique platform is counted in thousands of hours. The navigation is simpler designed to be more intuitive. He however ask for your feedback and help as the real test is your experience. If you have difficulties or find a bug during your visit, please send an email to contact@kozoom.com, ideally with the address of the relevant page and a screen shot to clearly understand the problem.
Among the many new features, you will see the Live section (video, score and soon a chat service) and video gallery. There are several hours of archives already available, which only Premium Pass holders can access. The growing audience and successive years of free content has brought us to an economic dead end where there are few sponsors for event promoters and in turn very little budget for video production of quality billiard games. The choice of a paid model seems to be the only viable way for Kozoom to further its development. In return for the Premium Pass, we are committed to investing a large portion of the income generated by your subscriptions to our video production. Our goal it to eventually be self-sufficient and cover most major carom billiard events as well as other disciplines.
Another unique service reserved for Premium members is the Instruction and technique section, which features a realistic billiard simulator first designed by Jean-Michel Fray when Kozoom Multimedia produced the video game Canal + Classic. Our goal with this instruction section is to create a true teaching tool in which we can learn, develop and share knowledge on the Internet in ways a classic forum cannot. Experts, and World-class ones, will participate in the daily publishing of game sequences with commentaries. We are honored to announce that Frederic Caudron will be a part of those experts. Other famous champions and educators will join him in the near future.
Player profiles have also evolved. Do not be surprised to find the rankings presented differently than before. The rankings are now generated automatically by our results database. In other words, if the classification of a championship does not appear in the results section, the medal cannot be shown in the players section. There is no need to send us your individual results, but instead it would be very helpful to send us full results of your official championships and tournaments by email only to contact@kozoom.com (group results sheets overall filled-out completely). We will hold regular sessions as before, in which priority will be given to the most important competitions depending on volume. Although our results section is very comprehensive, including all classifications of World Championships and European competitions since 1903, it is still challenging to complete and keep updated. Again, your help is greatly appreciated.
When you register, you will have the option to report the presence of your player profile on Kozoom.com, allowing us to link your account to your player profile. From your account, you can then directly update your player profile: change or upload your photo, fill in your club, your equipment, etc, ... Note that your player photo is different from your avatar and nickname every time you post a message in the news content, pages or player forums.
As you will see, the forums are also evolving. If the consultation is totally free, it will now be identified as such for participation. The identification does not mean the absence of anonymity towards other members as you sign in with your unique nickname; it means that anonymity cannot be exercised without impunity. The strongest supporters of multiple nicknames anonymity can now eat their words. This widespread formality is not surprising for those who attend other forums. It will inevitably consolidate and raise the level of debate, but also to motivate other players to come back and contribute interesting exchanges... There are some "wise guys" who try to circumvent this rule by creating dummy accounts. They are invited to visit the Special Terms and Conditions of Use to understand the consequences.
A great deal of work has also been done on the store, which is completely renewed. Kozoom Store is more than just a shop, it is a place for information and interaction for all billiard enthusiasts. With very detailed product descriptions, videos, user comments, you do not need to visit the Kozoom Store only to order, but to discover novelties and gather tips ... Many of our prices have been lowered, enabling you to find the best prices on the web.
